Job description

Working as a senior member of the Technical Operations Leadership Team and reporting to a Technical Operations Head, the Decision Support Lead is responsible for ensuring the Technical Operations organization is best positioned to deliver on its strategic and business priorities. The focus of the role will be split between operational responsibilities and leading one or more key initiatives that enhance Technical Operations business processes. Additionally, the role will provide essential decision support to the Technical Operations Heads to ensure informed and effective decision-making.

The Opportunity

  • Responsible for supporting the effective integration of IPT Portfolio Review in terms of planning, communication, and integration across the full Technical Operations organization
  • Responsible for deploying IPT and cross-IPT resources against specific projects, maintaining consistent visibility into the availability and expertise of each IPT and cross-IPT resource pool
  • Responsible for leading reporting efforts regarding IPT and project-level performance for all IPTs reporting into the Technical Operations Heads as well as IPT health and IPT CI initiatives
  • Responsible for developing processes for capturing, cataloging, analyzing, and distributing lessons learnt from projects and initiatives for the purpose of circulating best practice through the Technical Operations org.
  • Responsible for leading the IPT Portfolio Review meetings. This includes maintaining agendas, driving key decisions and strategic topics for discussion, partnering with presenters, preparing minutes, and following up with owners of allocated actions
  • Provide support to the Decision Support Lead to the COO in capturing "voice of the customer" feedback from the Technical Operations organization to identify business improvement initiatives focusing on business practice, processes, systems and tools to work toward achieving operational excellence across the operations network
  • Collaborate with the Decision Support Lead to the COO and other Decision Support Leads across the organization to align operational priorities enterprise wide
  • May need to travel for Ops Committee meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications (Masters. PhD) preferred
  • 10+ years of experience leading complex programs and initiatives in End-to-End Operations
  • Strong operational skills; project / timeline management capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence and provide matrixed leadership
  • Advanced Skills with Microsoft products such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel are a must
  • Data analytics experience highly preferred
